Ana is a Partner at Volciuc-Ionescu. Her practice covers a wide range of corporate/M&A transactions with a particular focus on technology and energy, assisting international corporations, PE and VC funds and emerging companies.

Noted for her ‘excellent technical skills‘ by the legal directories and ranked as a rising star (Legal500), Ana has extensive experience in transactions involving domestic and cross-border acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, minority investments and contract negotiations.

Ana has advised on a number of headline transactions in Romania – recent experience includes advice to one of the world’s largest delivery platforms in the sale of its business in Eastern Europe, advice to a London-based PE fund focused on technology companies in the acquisition of a local provider of fuel and cost management solutions for the aviation sector, buyer side advice in the acquisition of several companies providing software solutions for the banking and financial industry, advice to a producer of electricity in the acquisition of several wind and solar energy projects in Romania, advice to a supplier of electricity and natural gas on regulatory matters and in relation to the update of their customer contractual documentation.

PUBLICATIONS

Ana has authored and co-authored several articles on changes in the legal environment on topics such as foreign direct investments, energy and natural gas developments, changes in the corporate legal framework.
